AISI 4340 IS A NICKEL-CHROMIUM-MOLYBDENUM ALLOY STEEL KNOWN FOR HIGH STRENGTH, TOUGHNESS, AND FATIGUE RESISTANCE IN HEAT-TREATED CONDITIONS. IT OFFERS UNIFORM HARDNESS IN HEAVY SECTIONS AND MAINTAINS STRENGTH AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURES. COMMON IN OIL & GAS AND AEROSPACE, IT'S IDEAL FOR HIGHLY STRESSED PARTS. AVAILABLE AS VACUUM-DEGASSED STEEL TO AMS 2301, IT'S SUITABLE FOR MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION AND DEMANDING STRUCTURAL APPLICATIONS.
